Andrei Arshavin will probably return to Russia during the country's transfer window which ends on February 24, 2012. The news was published in The Telegraph as people debate the future of Arshavin with the Gunners.
Arshavin does not appear to be popular among the fans nor the coaching staff at Arsenal. The future of Arshavin with the Gunners is under doubt with Anzhi Makhachkala announcing they will sign him.
Arshavin has expressed a desire in the past to return to Russia to play world football. He has the desire to return to Zenit St. Petersburg as part of one of the principal Russian Premier League teams.
While people cannot choose where to play, Arshavin should start to think about his options. It is not known whether Zenit St. Petersburg wants him as much as Anzhi.
I am going to predict that Arshavin will return to Russia signed with Anzhi Makhachkala. Arshavin then may eventually transfer to Zenit.
