Gazprom which is one of the major energy companies in Russia signed a three year deal with Chelsea FC. Under the deal, Gazprom will supply gas and electricity during this time.
It comes after the news of Gazprom sponsoring the UEFA Champions League until 2015. This was reported in RT. The news is a great one since both sides stand to benefit.
Chelsea FC will benefit from electricity and gas while Gazprom benefits from an increased presence in football. What does this mean?
Chelsea with this deal is bound to receive publicity in Russia. Gazprom owns Zenit St. Petersburg and is a sponsor of Schalke 04 and now Chelsea.
