Anelka (Chelsea) has indicated that he will move to Russia during the January Transfer period. Terek Grozny and Anzhi Makhachkala have expressed an interest in the player.

Anelka made his declarations before the magazine Tvai Den which was published in Tribalfootball.com. It is expected that Anelka's representatives will be in discussion with Anzhi or Terek Grozny for the move.

I feel that most of the Russian teams are buying the players that are in their 30's. The reason is that most players in their 30's are perfect for training future players in their 20's.

It appears that Russian teams want to be ready for UEFA and the 2018 FIFA World Cup. In the long run, Russian teams want to convert themselves into a world football powerhouse.

The Russian Premier League and their teams deserve to be monitored as to their progress.
