Fabrian Goroncy: Red Is The Man [Sir Alex Ferguson]

Fg

Fabrian Goroncy (one of the greatest rock and folk singers from Germany) collaborated with the World Red Army to record “Red Is The Man”. The song is a dedication to Sir Alex Ferguson and his time as manager of Manchester United.

The Premier League Insider invited Fabrian Goroncy for an interview. Mr. Goroncy accepted and the conversation was about the song, music, and Manchester United.

1. The song "Red Is The Man" is dedicated to Sir Alex Ferguson. What inspired you to record a dedication to Sir Alex Ferguson?

Well, Sir Alex Ferguson celebrates his 25th anniversary as manager this year. He has been probably the most successful manager of all time, has written history, he's the best and that's inspiration and reason enough to record a dedication to him.

2. What is it that you admire about Sir Alex Ferguson and Manchester United?

Sir Alex Ferguson seems to have never ending power and energy! Since 25 years he has worked with so many different personalities in his team, so many different situations. And as well he is a great personality. He shows emotions and is still professional. He once said that one of his biggest moments was when his son Jason said to him: "Dad, if you don't win tonight it won't change things. You will still be a great manager and we all love you." It's just wonderful that Sir Ferguson tells the public such stories, that's exactly what I mean. He is married for more than thirty years to his wife Cathy and loves his family. It's not only the success that I admire about him. And Manchester United has always been a great team. Since a long time my parents habe loved this team and so I grew up with loving Manchester United. So even if music has always been my passion, I am a big football-fan, too!

3. How were you able to collaborate with The World Red Army in order to record "Red Is The Man"?

Producer Will Robinson called me and told me that my voice would be exactly the right one to tell this story - and that's a big honour to do this job for Sir Alex Ferguson. Thank you, Will!

4. How long did it take you to record "Red Is The Man" with The World Red Army?

Not too long. There were many excellent musicians contributing to that song. Violin, bagpipes, drums, etc. A big thanks to all the musicians and especially to Robin Gibb's producer Michael Graves. We are a great team!

5. Do you have any favorite Manchester United players?

Oh, it changes all the time.

6. How did you get your start in the entertainment industry?

With a lot of work and plenty of patience!

7. Have you recorded any other albums?

There were a few albums I recorded, but the last one was 2009 "The Voice". And the current singles are: "Doing Something Right" and "The Door To You"

8. Besides Manchester United, do you have any other favorite football teams?

No, not really.

9. Have you recorded any other songs dedicated to Manchester United?

Not yet. Still, the band "The World Red Army" has, like the "Chico song" that became famous.

10. Is there anything you want to say to your fans and the readers of The Premier League Insider?

There are so many things to say, but the message I want to send to the world is, that we should be aware of what we are doing. Every moment is a new chance to change our life. Every breath we take should be full of love. Appreciate that you are alive and honour all of creation. It doesn't matter from where we come from, which colour or religion. Michael Jackson once sang: "...Create A World With No Fear, Together We'll Cry Happy Tears..." And yes, let's create a better world! My next Single is called "The Love Of Tomorrow" and one line will be: "Waiting for the day when the fire stops burning hearts, when the world is free and love is here to stay."

Thank you very much.

The Premier League Insider would like to thank Fabrian Goroncy for the time spent with us. The Premier League Insider would also like to thank Matthias Behrends of The Voice Productions for the time and effort in this historic interview.

It is a pleasure and an honor to have Fabrian Goroncy with us and it is hoped that he could one day return for another visit.
