Adam Levine hates America and The Premier League Insider loves her. Our love for America is SO great that we want her to host the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

America deserves to host the 2026 FIFA World Cup for the following bold reasons.

The addition of franchises to the MLS

While FIFA President Sepp Blatter criticizes Major League Soccer [MLS] and the US, world football gains ground. Recently, the New York Yankees and Manchester City FC collaborated in the birth of the latest MLS franchise.

The result is the New York City FC which will debut in the year 2015. The expectations and the future are great for this latest franchise. David Beckham recently visited Miami, Florida to explore the possibility of an MLS franchise in the city.

The presence of world football franchise means that there is an interest. Let us elaborate on one example interest of America in world football.

Attendance

The attendance of people in world football matches is big. The two examples worth mentioning are the Cascadia Cup and the FC Barcelona vs. Chivas of Guadalajara match in 2011.

II a. Cascadia Cup

The Cascadia Cup originates from the name Cascadia. Cascadia is a term used to describe the area of Oregon, Washington State in America, and British Columbia [Canada].

The Cascadia Cup is an MLS event between the Seattle Sounders, Portland Timbers, and the Vancouver Whitecaps. The 2012 Cascadian Cup attended by 21,000 spectators was won by the Portland Timbers.

During the match, the people celebrating and enjoying the Cascadia Cup with banners and uniforms were great.

II b. FC Barcelona vs Chivas of Guadalajara

FC Barcelona and Chivas of Guadalajara faced each other in a friendly match in the summer of 2011. The match sponsored by Herbalife was celebrated at Sun Life Stadium in Miami, Florida.

I had the honor and pleasure of attending the match with more than 70,000 spectators. This was the largest attendance of any sporting event in Florida and was the catalyst for an MLS franchise.

Infrastructure

America has the infrastructure to host the 2026 FIFA World Cup with stadiums such as Sun Life, Yankee, Los Angeles, and the Robert F. Kennedy Memorial. The transportation system such as Airlines, Amtrak trains, Bus, Car, and Highways are great.

Tranquility

At a time when hooliganism and racism in world football is prevalent, this is not the case in America. While not denying the presence of racism in America, it is almost nonexistent in world football.

America will be a gracious 2026 World Cup host but with zero tolerance for racism and hooliganism. There is also zero tolerance for practical jokes on Twitter.

The Sun Life Stadium in Miami, Florida has a code of conduct which prohibits racism and hooliganism. The punishment is expulsion or arrest of the person committing such acts.

There is a policy which encourages spectators to report [by texting and/or cell phone] on any behavior that resembles racism and hooliganism to stadium security or police.

They are usually answered and the results are rapid.

According to the Washington Post, a British couple on their way to America allegedly twitted a remark deemed offensive in America. Upon their arrival, they were detained and eventually sent back home because of the remark.

Conclusion

It is never too early to start the campaign for a World Cup in America. It is the hope of The Premier League Insider that we unite in this great cause.
