Florent Malouda denies wanting to move to Anzhi Makhachkala when his contract with Chelsea expires in the Summer of 2012. He made his intentions known in an article published in Goal.

Malouda went as far as to say that he does not know how to pronounce the name of Anzhi Makhachkala. The comments were made in response to rumors that Malouda may join other players in Russia.

Malouda said that announcements of any move will come from him since he believes in transparency. The idea of Malouda moving to Russia is possible since Anzhi is signing players way beyond their prime.

The year 2011 has seen Anzhi Makhachkala signing players such as Roberto Carlos and Samuel Eto'o. Anzhi is attempting to woo Guus Hiddink as a consultant.

Suleyman Kerimov; Anzhi Makhachkala owner is keen on paying high fees for players to sign with his club. Malouda would be a great candidate for the club.

Whether Malouda signs with Anzhi or not will be his decision and he will state his next move. For the time being, forget about Malouda in Russia.
