How Arsenal Might Win The 2013/14 Premier League Trophy
The Manchester City striker Alvaro Negredo said that Arsenal will likely win the 2013/14 Premier League title. Negredo’s statements appeared in an article written by Alvaro Jimenez and published by Goal.
The striker went as far as to rubbish Jose Mourinho’s [Chelsea Manager] claim about City’s superiority. Negredo said that the comments from Mourinho were used to divert attention in the EPL.
According to the EPL tables from ESPN-FC, Arsenal is currently in first place with 55 points ahead of Chelsea and Manchester City. The Gunners have 17 victories, four draws, three losses, 47 goals for, and 21 goals against.
The result is a goal differential of 26 for the Gunners in their quest for the EPL title. Arsenal received a boost abroad when Bayern Munich forward Thomas Muller praised the Gunners football style.
While it is still early to predict who will win the current EPL title, Arsenal can be the surprise story. Imagine the Gunners winning silverware for the first time in almost a decade?
Arsenal has a big possibility of winning if it manages to win ALL or the majority of its matches. Wojciech Sczesny has to deflect goal attempts from seasoned opponents in clubs such as Chelsea and Manchester United.
Sczeseny managed 73 saves with 21 goals conceded within 24 matches. It appears that the Polish goalkeeper is up to the task.
Theo Walcott, Mesut Ozil, and Olivier Giroud appear to be the backbone behind the Arsenal revival. Walcott managed to score five goals within 14 matches and 33 shots with his striker speed. Ozil manages precision and control of the ball during matches according to ESPN.
Ozil is precise when kicking the ball within long distances. The result for the midfielder is four goals within 19 matches and 24 shots.
Giroud managed to score ten goals within 22 matches and 71 shots. Giroud managed this with great precision on the field. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is one of the rising stars at Arsenal and recently scored two goals against Crystal Palace for a Gunner victory.
In spite of the critics, Arsenal is financially stable and is decides who to sign in spite of pressures and rumors. The result is a team that is disciplined, committed, consistent, and with the will to win trophies.
