Jurgen Klinsmann was selected by USSF (United States Soccer Federation) President Sunil Gulati as coach of the US Mens Soccer Team after Bob Bradley was fired from the same position. The results for the sacking of Bradley was the dismal performance of the USA in the 2011 CONCACAF Gold Cup.
Jurgen Klinsmann has been known as a miracle worker since he managed to turn around the German National Football (Soccer) team. Klinsmann left his imprint on the team that eventually advanced in the Euro Cup and the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
I had the honor and pleasure of conversing (by telephone) with Dennis Justice. Dennis Justice is campaigning for the Presidency of the USSF. Dennis Justice said that the reason Gulati selected Klinsmann was to "protect Gulati".
The tendency is to agree with Justice and ask for more change. I wold have preferred Klinsmann to be President of the USSF and Coach of the US Football (Soccer) team.
I am willing to accept that Klinsmann being coach is a positive step. I hope that Klinsmann could do more to renovate US Soccer without Gulati hampering his every move.
