After winning the Guiness International Champions Cup [GICC] in Miami, Manchester United under Louis Van Gaal is gearing up for its first 2014/15 Premier League [EPL] match against Swansea City. The prediction for this will be a four to zero in favor of United [with the following reasons]although anything could happen.
The Red Devils appear to enjoy a revival after the previous season under David Moyes ended in disaster. At present, Old Trafford appears to be a disciplined and unified team with an attack and possess mentality in matches as witnessed during the GICC.
With Wayne Rooney, Juan Mata, Luke Shaw, and Shinji Kagawa; there appears to be a desire to win and create a new page in United's history encouraged by Van Gaal. It was evident during the GICC with victories over Real Madrid and Liverpool.
At the same time, there is the desire to go forward without the looking back or thinking twice mentality evident in the Moyes era. David De Gea will be present to deflect any attempts by Swansea City to score.
The news from the Welsh club about its future in this match is bad after their three to zero defeat against Villareal. According to Angel Rangel and reported in the Swansea City webpage, Jefferson Montero was going to be a threat in the EPL.
This was not the case as Montero and other players such as Lukasz Fabianski did not impress in the field allowing the Spanish Club to dominate the match. The Welsh did the opposite of the Red Devils by conceding goals and possession of the field and match
The departure of Chico Flores and injuries such as Jay Fulton may not help in Swansea's debut against United although this could change with time. Gary Monk [Swansea's manager] recognizes the need to sign more players
This will not resolve Swansea's pressing problem when it faces Manchester United this Saturday.
