The Telegraph reports that Jordan Henderson was selected by Roy Hodgson (England's Manager) to replace Frank Lampard who is out secondary to a thigh injury. The announcement occurs in light of the recent injuries of Gareth Barry and John Ruddy.
Jordan Henderson is a new generation of English footballers in their 20's with potential. Henderson started with the England U-21 group before moving on to Sunderland and Liverpool.
ESPN Soccernet reported that Kenny Dalglish (former Liverpool manager) praised the talents of this new generation player off an on the field. The same article talked about Henderson was able to create 82 opportunities for his teammates to score goals during the 2010-2011 Premier League season.
This was considered to be one of the greatest achievements in the history of The Premier League. It remains to be seen whether he can replicate them in Euro 2012.
