The Premier League Insider by unanimous vote decided to name Leo Messi its Most Valued Player for the year 2012. The reason is for his stunning performance (including the five goals) during the UEFA Champions League match between FC Barcelona and Bayer Leverkusen.
Lionel Messi deserves this honor for his present as well as past accomplishments. Christian Tello finished second place to Lionel Messi but his contributions to this historic match has not gone unnoticed.
