Time Magazine published a cover magazine showing Lionel Messi which appeared last Sunday. The only difference was that the edition with Messi appeared in Europe, Asia, and Latin America.
Lionel Messi is not visible on the US Edition of Time magazine. The decision reperesents a slap in the face to those who support soccer in the USA.
While it is understandable that American Football, Boxing, Baseball, Basketball, and Racing are part of the USA, the decision to ignore a fan base such as US Soccer is discriminatory against US Soccer supporters. Time states that we do not exist and should not receive publicity which is considered a form of discrimination.
It appears that Time Magazine does not take into account that more tha 70,000 people filled Sun Life Stadium in Miami Florida to see FC Barcelona VS Chivas of Guadalajara last summer. I am not surprised by the attitude of a magazine such as Time which in the past has shown its bias towards things they do not wish to understand.
I invite people who think that they have been insulted by the arroganxce of Time Magazine to boycott the issues until Lionel Messi or other football players receive publicity in ALL Time Magazine. I myself prefer my sports elsewhere instead of Time Magazine.
